   So please keep the “save downloaded/converted files folder” as the short name with no spaces or symbols.

    Deus, you guess should be the answer. I named the flv and mp3 with just youtube’s id. Because Some youtube url title will be duplicate and the youtube id will be unique.
    If you can’t find the result file, just go to your saved folder and click sort by time.
    If I have time I will find a way to solve the name function in the updated version.

    This freeware ROCKS.

    I, too, had problems with the “conversion — and delete FLV function” — or so I thought. Several attemps to no avail.

    Came to the program’s website and found the simple solution was very short foldering with no spaces. I now use the default c:\MyMusic\ and simply move the .mp3’s after batch conversions.

So, set destination as Documents, still nada. 3rd time, I set destination folder as Downloads, in Documents. Bingo!!! The converted file doesn´t show up as MP3, song title, artist or anything like that…it´s just a mess of numbers and letters. It was located directly under the FLL/FLV file (or whatever it is, dunno what that one stands for). I changed the name to Artist, song title and MP3. Download plays fine and now lives in the Music file. So, the program does work, one just has to fiddle a little with it…I ain´t no computer geek either, just a hi tec redneck. With this function it will be better as i do not need to keep going online to download the files that i want!
    Also make the minimze button work as sometimes it is irritating when i want to minimise the application. It is troublesome to go to the far left side to choose minimise to make the app smaller!

     Very nice, simple interface with big, easy to see buttons. You simply copy the url off the vid off You Tube, paste it into this program’s menu and click ‘convert’ and in less than 2 minutes later you now have your favourite song off You Tube converted to either MP3 or WAV so you can play it in your car or on your home stereo!! Simple..yet Effective!! 10/10!! =)

     REPEAT (<- the loop that processes a batch of links)
     …..Increment(N)
     …..Create_File(Ord(N+34)+”.MP3”) (<- the ordinal value is a character + 34 give you “a”, “b”, “c”, “d” for each file name!)
     …..Do_all_the_Magic_to_extract_the_MP3_procedure;
     UNTIL Processed_Batch_List

     And that’s how you create unique file names that don’t overwrite each other!

     Now get to work!

     I have used another software to record speeches on line to do transcripts. I tried this and had NO troubles, but reading ALL the posts I did some testing.

     The path to where your download folder can NOT have a name in it with a space.

     c:\My Folder\ does not work
     c:\My Folder\test folder\ does not work
     c:\My Folder\testfolder\ does not work
     c:\MyFolder\ WORKS
     c:\MyFolder\testfolder\ WORKS

     Someone asked to increase the bit rate. Well if you increase the bit rate and the bit rate in the FLV is 128 or what ever, and increase it to 256, you still get an interpolated 128 quality in a larger 256 package.

     It would be nice for you music people to know what the original quality is. Then choice a Bit rate. Never go up as it does nothing but take space.

     But I would like to see a bit rate option. I unlike most of you want a smaller file, ad quality is not my issues. But a bit rate option would be nice. Better knowing the original bit rate.

     The biggest flaw I see is the file names are blank. The other program I used (which is now erring?) uses the title from the top of the page, and if there is a duplicate it adds a (2) (3) et al.

     All in all, not bad. I give it a B+, some configuration settings including bit rates and actual file names would make this a great program instead of good.

     With that software, you can download any videos from Youtube BUT can’t convert to MP3.
     One thing can be done then.
     Download a copy of Cool Edit. On that software you can convert video in audio, in wav and mp3 formats.

     Not a big help still but the only emergency solution I’ve found so far ’til this problem with “1clickyoutube to mp3 converter” can (hopefully!..) be fixed.
